The grand staff is made up of the treble and bass staves.

The Piano Grand Staff

The grand staff is the two-part piano staff used to accommodate the piano’s wide range of notes:

These two staves are connected physically by systemic bar lines, and musically by a brace. The brace indicates that one performer plays the two staves simultaneously.
