◊ Perfect Fourth: G♭

◊ Perfect Fifth: A♭

A suspended 4th chord differs from a major or minor chord in that its third has been removed and replaced by a perfect fourth. If the third and fourth are both present, the chord is an add4:

• D^♭ADD4: D♭ – F – G♭ – A♭


• D^♭m^ADD4: D♭ – F♭ – G♭ – A♭

Note that a sus4 chord also doubles as an inversion of a sus2. For example, the first inversion of the D♭^sus4 triad (G♭ – A♭ – D♭) is the root position of G♭^sus2.
