The bass staff is marked with a bass clef, or F-clef.

Definition: The bass staff is:
  1. The bottom staff of the piano’s grand staff, marked by a bass clef. The bass notes are located around middle C and below, and are usually played with the left hand.

  2. Any staff meant to hold notation for a bass instrument, such as the bass guitar.
