Definition: The Violinschlüssel is the first large musical symbol found on the top staff, or treble staff, in piano music. The Violinschlüssel is also called the G-Schlüssel, because it wraps around the G line.

Notes of the treble staff are located around middle C and above, and are usually played with the right hand.
