How to Play Piano Triplets
A triplet is a group of three notes that fits inside the length of another note. Triplets can be identified by a small 3 (however, if a song contains many triplet groupings, only the first few sets may be marked).
Eighth-note triplets, seen above, fit into the length of a quarter note. To catch this rhythm in your head, first count the quarter-note beats slowly, then add the triplets; count:Quarter-note beat:
One … … Two … … Three … … Four … …
Triplet beat (say aloud with equal syllables):
One, trip-let;  Two, trip-let;  Three, trip-let;  Four, trip-let Part A | Part B | Part C | Part D (Song)
