A major seventh chord is a major triad with an added seventh interval:

◊ Dominant 7th

  A B♯7 has an added minor seventh:  B♯ – Dx* – Fx – A♯


◊ Major 7th

  A B♯maj7 has an added major seventh:   B♯ – Dx – Fx – Ax


◊ Dominant 7th Flat Five

  A B♯7♭5 is a B♯7 with a diminished fifth:   B♯ – Dx – F♯ – A♯


◊ 7/Suspended Fourth

  A B♯7sus4 is a B♯7 with a P4 instead of a major third:   B♯ – E♯ – Fx – A♯
