Mel McIntyre

Mel McIntyre is a pianist, composer and experienced teacher of music. He's been playing the piano since he was three years old, taking piano lessons from the age of eight and progressing to study music at university. Mel has played in bands, chamber groups and orchestras, and taught music in Canada and the UK. He enjoys playing music, listening to music and writing music for others to play and hear.

Mel has been playing the piano and/or keyboard for more than 40 years. He taught music in schools in Canada and the UK, where he rose to become Director of Music at an exclusive preparatory school. Mel has also been a peripatetic music teacher, traveling from school to school and teaching piano, keyboard and guitar.

Mel holds a 1st Class Honours B.A. degree in Music and English.
