27 hours 3 minutes and 44 seconds to be exact, which makes a new Guinness record. Montréal-born musician Gonzales started playing Sunday at midnight, and went through a musical spectrum that ranged from Britney Spears to Beethoven … and covered everything in between.
Gonzales used his few breaks to change from day clothes to pyjamas, and was allowed no more than 30 seconds between songs. Gonzales beat the previous record of 26 hours 12 seconds, set by Prasanna Gudi of India. The entire performance has been posted on Gonzales' website.
